This year the game is on Thursday, July 29, 2010.
Women's game: 6 p.m.
Men's game: 7:30 p.m.
The event is free admission and there will food, drinks and candy, so it's perfect for the whole family.
The alumni soccer game is a memorial to celebrate the life of Meg Gutzwiller '00, who died on March 9, 2002 in an auto accident. Meg was a four-year varsity starter for the women's program and instrumental in the program's success, which included two visits to the state tournament final four. Meg continued her career at Tiffin University where she achieved All-American status as a freshman. Meg is the daughter of John '61 and Karen '64 Gutzwiller and the sister of John Jr. '88, Katie '95 and Matt '91.
All participating soccer alumni are asked to register for the event , so we can anticipate a T-shirt count and be prepared to manage playing time, by emailing jgutzwiller@fuse.net. If you do not have Internet access, you may call 641-1300 and leave a message for John Gutzwiller.
